Reede is operated by Reede Systems Inc., a separate company. Clerke Technologies designed and built it.
01The Problem
Corporate legal work runs on records, documents, deadlines and signatures. In most practices those live in different places — a practice tool, a folder of templates, email threads with clients, a calendar — and a person carries the information between them.
Every handoff is retyping, and every retyped name or date is a chance to get it wrong in a document that has to be right.
02What We Built
A practice management platform that keeps matters, company records, documents, drafting and client signatures in one system, with AI used at the specific points where people used to retype.
03How It Works
01
Documents read on arrival
A document uploaded or emailed to the practice’s inbox is read by AI, which pulls out the names, dates and details for a person to confirm — rather than retype.
02
Drafting from the record
Resolutions, letters and filing packages are prepared from information the practice already holds, and marked as drafts until someone qualified has reviewed them.
03
Clients sign online
Documents go out for signature through one guided flow. Each signer gets their own secure link, and the signed copies come back to the file.
04
Annual work in view
Recurring filings are tracked company by company, with the next step for each one shown in one list.
05
Access built in
Two-step sign-in, firm-level permissions, and walls between matters that must not see each other.
04What It Is Designed to Change
- Information captured once and reused in every document, so names and dates are typed one time.
- Clients signing on their own phone or computer, instead of printing, signing and scanning.
- One place to see what is outstanding, instead of three systems and a memory.
05How It Is Looked After
We continue to develop Reede: new features, regular releases, monitoring and security updates. It is the same work our Business Systems plan covers for a client’s own system.
Could Something Like This Work for You?
If your practice collects documents from clients, prepares paperwork from them and needs it signed, the same building blocks — a secure client link, document intake, drafting from your records — make a client portal for an accounting, bookkeeping or consulting firm.
