Websites
A website, built for you, for a flat $2,000.
Not a quote and not a range — $2,000 plus tax, for up to 5 pages, designed and built, live within three weeks of your content arriving. Half up front to book the work, half when it is live.
$1,000 plus tax now, $1,000 when it goes live. Bought a guide first? What you paid comes off this price, in full, within 90 days of buying it.
Why there is a number on this page
Most studios will not publish one, and for most of their work they are right not to — it genuinely varies. But a small business site is the same five pages nearly every time, and hiding the price behind a form mostly wastes the time of people who were never going to be able to afford it.
So here it is. If it is too much, you have lost thirty seconds instead of two weeks. If it is less than you feared, you can start today without waiting for anybody to call you back.
What $2,000 plus tax buys
Both lists, on the same page.
A fixed price only stays fixed if both of us know where it stops. Nothing in the second list is a trap or an upsell waiting to happen — it is quoted in writing before it is started, or it is not done.
Included
- Up to 5 pages — usually home, about, services, a gallery or prices, and contact.
- Designed around your own logo and colours, or a clean one made for you if you have none.
- Fast, readable on a phone, and usable with a keyboard and a screen reader. Not an upgrade; the baseline.
- An enquiry form that reaches your inbox, with the spam handled.
- Your domain connected, hosting set up, and the certificate that puts the padlock in the address bar.
- The search basics done properly — page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, and your Google Business Profile pointed at the right place.
- Two rounds of changes after you have seen the real thing.
- A handover call of up to an hour, recorded if you want it, so you can find everything again in six months.
Not included
- Taking payments on the site — a real checkout, tax and refund policies included, is its own piece of work. Ask and we will quote it.
- Writing your words from scratch. We will edit, cut and arrange what you give us, and tell you what is missing; a page written from nothing is extra.
- Logo and brand design. We can point you at someone good.
- Bookings, memberships, logins, multiple languages, or anything that stores customer records.
- Photography. Your own photos nearly always beat stock, and we will say so.
- Changes after handover. That is the care plan below, and it is optional.
Anything here is $150 an hour plus tax, or a fixed price if it is big enough to deserve one. Agreed before it happens, never on the invoice.
One thing we need from you, with a date on it
We need your words, photos and logo within 30 days of the deposit. After that the project goes on hold and the time to pick it back up is billable — not a penalty, just the honest cost of restarting something cold.
How it works
Four steps, and no meeting before the first one.
01
Pay the deposit
$1,000 plus tax, through Stripe, right here. That books the work — there is no call to sit through first and nothing to negotiate.
02
Tell us about the business
A short brief lands in your inbox within one business day: what you do, who buys it, what the site has to achieve, and where your logo and photos live. Twenty minutes, not an afternoon.
03
You see the real thing, early
Not a picture of a website — a working link you can open on your phone and send to whoever needs to see it. It stays current as we build, so there is never a reveal.
04
Two rounds of changes, then it goes live
You mark up what you want different, twice. Then your domain is pointed at it, the balance is invoiced, and we walk you through it. Live within three weeks of your content arriving.
The price
$2,000plus tax
Flat. Not a starting point, and not an estimate.
- $1,000 plus tax now
- Paid here, by card. It books the work.
- $1,000 on launch
- Invoiced when the site goes live, payable within fifteen days.
Bought a guide first? What you paid comes off this price, in full, within 90 days of buying it.
Payment is taken and invoiced through FileFlow Solutions Inc., which is where your receipt and the GST number come from, and the name you will see on your card statement. It is also the name on your agreement.
What you keep
Your domain stays yours, the code is yours, we host and look after it, and if you ever leave we hand it over and help you land it.
There is no notice period, nothing to cancel, and no part of this that depends on you staying. If a studio will not say that plainly, ask them why before you pay anybody.
Afterwards, if you want it
$99 a month, and you never think about it again.
Software rots whether or not anybody touches it. Certificates expire, plugins go unpatched, a form quietly stops sending, and the first you hear of it is a customer saying they emailed weeks ago.
Entirely optional, and it can start or stop at any time. If you would rather look after it yourself, we will show you how at handover and that is a perfectly good answer.
$99 a month plus tax, or $1,090 a year paid yearly.
- Hosting, the certificate, and the renewals — nothing to remember.
- Backups, and a tested way to put the site back.
- Security and dependency updates as they land.
- Monitoring that the site is up and the enquiry form is actually sending.
- Up to 30 minutes of changes a month — new hours, new prices, a staff change.
When not to buy this
Four reasons to close this tab.
- If you need more than 5 pages, or a shop, or bookings, this is the wrong product — but it is the right conversation. Tell us what you need and we will quote it properly.
- If you want to sit in on the design decisions, you will find this frustrating. We make them and show you the result, twice.
- If your content does not exist yet and nobody has time to write it, buy the words first. A fast empty site is still an empty site.
- If you would rather learn how to do this yourself, do not pay us $2,000 — the guides cost a fraction of it, and what you pay comes off this price in full if you change your mind within 90 days.
The last one is a real offer, not a brush-off. We wrote our whole process down and sell it as a guide, and whatever you pay for it comes off this price in full if you change your mind within 90 days.
Build it yourself insteadQuestions
Asked and answered.
- Is $2,000 really all of it?
- Yes, for what is listed above — 5 pages, two rounds of changes, live and handed over. Plus tax, and plus your own domain, which runs about $20 a year and stays yours. Anything outside that list is quoted in writing before it is started, never added to the final invoice.
- Why a deposit?
- Because it books real calendar time, and because a project that has not been paid for is a project that gets rescheduled. Half now, half when it goes live. The second half is invoiced at handover, payable within fifteen days.
- What if I don’t like it?
- You see a working link early and it stays current, so there is no reveal to be disappointed by — by the time the site is nearly finished you have been looking at it for a fortnight. You get two rounds of changes. If we have genuinely built the wrong thing, say so and we will fix it; that is what the rounds are for.
- Can I edit it myself afterwards?
- Yes, and we show you how at handover. Some people want to change their own prices and opening hours; others would rather send an email and have it done. That second one is the care plan, and it is optional.
- What happens if I want to leave?
- Your domain stays yours, the code is yours, we host and look after it, and if you ever leave we hand it over and help you land it. There is nothing to cancel and no notice period.
- How long does it actually take?
- Three weeks from your content arriving, for most sites this size. The three weeks is the easy part to promise; getting the content together is the part that slips, which is why there is a deadline on it.
- Who am I actually paying?
- FileFlow Solutions Inc. Clerke is the studio and the brand; FileFlow holds the bank account and the tax registration, so it is the name on your agreement, your invoice and your card statement. One name on all three, which is what your bookkeeper will want.
- Do you work outside Kelowna?
- Yes. Everything here happens over email and a call or two, and it has never mattered where anybody is sitting. We are in Kelowna, BC, and the work is not.
$1,000 now, and it is booked.
$1,000 plus tax to start, $1,000 when it goes live. No call to sit through first and no quote to wait for. You get the brief by email within a business day, and a working link not long after.
Need more than 5 pages, a shop, or bookings? That is a quote rather than a flat price, and it is a short conversation. Tell us what you need.
