About

A small studio that ships

Clerke Technologies Inc. builds websites, runs marketing, and develops custom software from Kelowna, British Columbia.

Clerke is deliberately small. There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work, no offshore team the project quietly moves to after you sign, and no layer of people whose job is to have meetings about your project.

What makes us different from most studios of this size is that we also build and operate our own software. Products with real users, real subscriptions, and real consequences when something breaks at two in the morning. That is a different discipline from handing a website over and moving on, and it shows up in the work: in how we think about security, about what happens when a form fails, about the difference between a site that looks finished and one that is.

A lot of our experience is in professional services — businesses where records have to be accurate, deadlines are external and unforgiving, and the cost of a sloppy system is measured in something worse than money. It has made us careful in a way that benefits every client, including the ones who just need a good website.

How we operate

Four things we hold to.

  • You own it all

The domain, the hosting, the code, the analytics, the ad accounts — registered in your name from day one. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can, without asking us for anything. We think a client should stay because the work is good, not because leaving is painful.

  • We quote before we start

A written scope and a fixed price. If something changes, we agree the change before doing it. You should never open an invoice and find a surprise in it.

  • We will talk you out of it

If your problem doesn't need custom software, we will say so. If a cheaper tool solves it, we will name the tool. Selling someone a project they didn't need is a good month and a bad decade.

  • Plain language, always

You will never be handed a report full of terms designed to make the work sound harder than it is. If we cannot explain what we did and why it mattered, we have not finished thinking about it.

Let’s talk about it.

No pitch deck, no discovery fee. Tell us what is going on and we’ll tell you what we’d do about it.
