Clerke Technologies Inc. is an independent technology studio based in British Columbia, Canada.
Technology, thoughtfully built.
Clerke is deliberately small. There is no account manager between you and the person doing the work, and no layer of people whose job is to have meetings about your project.
We combine real-world business experience with modern software development and intelligent automation to create technology that's both sophisticated and practical.
The software we build is meant to run every day — with real records in it, payments moving through it, and consequences when something breaks at two in the morning. That discipline shows up in everything we make: in how we think about security, about what happens when a form fails, and about the difference between something that looks finished and something that is.
A lot of our experience is in professional services — businesses where records have to be accurate and deadlines are not negotiable. It has made us careful in a way that benefits every client.
How We Work
Four things we hold to.

Nothing about this traps you
Your domain stays yours — registered to you, at your registrar, pointed wherever you say. The site runs on our hosting, because looking after it is part of what you are paying for. But the code is yours, and if you ever want to take it elsewhere, we hand it over and help you land it — no exit fee and no conversation about it. We think a client should stay because the work is good, not because leaving is painful.

We quote before we start
A written scope and a fixed price. If something changes, we agree the change before doing it. You should never open an invoice and find a surprise in it.

We will talk you out of it
If your problem doesn't need custom software, we will say so. If a cheaper tool solves it, we will name the tool. Selling someone a project they didn't need is a good month and a bad decade.

Plain language, always
You will never be handed a report full of terms designed to make the work sound harder than it is. If we cannot explain what we did and why it mattered, we have not finished thinking about it.
