01The Problem
Medical device reps carry an enormous amount in their heads: which surgeon prefers which instruments, what each case needs, who is covering when they are away. And the places they work — operating rooms and hospital basements — rarely have a signal.
02What We Built
An offline-first app for reps and distributors, with a dashboard for managers. It is in development: the public site is live, and the product has not launched.
03How It Works
01
Preference cards
Each surgeon’s preferences for each procedure, kept current and shared with the team.
02
Cases and checklists
Upcoming cases with what each one needs, and a checklist to work through.
03
Coverage handoffs
When a rep is away, the covering rep gets everything they need for the case.
04
Offline first
Everything a rep needs is on the phone and works without a signal, then syncs when it returns.
05
No patient data
The app is designed never to hold patient information, and flags it when someone types something that looks like it.
04What It Is Designed to Change
- A rep who walks into a case with the right information, signal or not.
- A covering rep who does not need a phone call to get up to speed.
05How It Is Looked After
We are building LetsOp and will run it once it launches.
Could Something Like This Work for You?
Any team that works away from a desk — inspections, maintenance, deliveries, site visits — has the same problem: the information has to be on the phone, even when the signal is not.
